Who We Are

Green Planet Vets is a community garden/farm based and operated in Warner Robins, Georgia. Our mission is to aid veterans reintegrating into civilian life by growing produce, raising farm animals, and conducting seminars on holistic health and sustainability. We foster a thriving micro-community of veterans and civilians who build deep friendships, implement innovative gardening techniques, and help cultivate emotional, physical, and spiritual health. The goal is to personally empower vets through the realization that their own efforts and contributions are important to our community.

Our Story

Timothy Anderson is passionate about helping others learn to eat healthier. He believes that by eating quality, minimally processed foods, people have the ability to significantly improve their overall health. His own personal journey led him to start Green Planet Vets. Timothy joined the military after finishing school because he wanted to give back to his country and served for over 17 years. Much of his personal identity had been based on two things: being of service to his country and being in top physical form to carry out his job. Little did he know that the very core of his identity was about to be challenged.

Meet Timothy

On a fateful day in 2005, Tim was in a serious motorcycle accident that both ended his service career and majorly impacted his overall health. Due to complications from the accident, his lower leg was amputated. During this time, he was also diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that stemmed from both his military career and the accident.
